You can become part of this global movement right here in Australia. Getting involved with a Cycling Without Age chapter is an amazing experience. Nothing beats witnessing the joy of the elderly, pilots and carers interact on and around the trishaw and seeing the smiles of passengers coming back from their first ride with wind in their hair, rosy cheeks and full of stories.
The interaction of passengers, pilots and the community promotes inclusivity, reduces social isolation and makes the passengers feel valued.
There are three common ways you can participate. Click on the images below to learn more:
BECOMING A PILOT/VOLUNTEER
BECOMING AN AFFILIATE
Volunteer your support…either by Piloting a trishaw or general assistance.
Pilots are our volunteers riding the trishaw bikes. As a Pilot, you can make a difference in a rewarding community while meeting new people and even getting free exercise.
Assistants help out with administration, bookings, loading and unloading passengers and spreading the good word about Cycling Without Age.
Without your help and engagement, Cycling Without Age would simply not exist.
Establishing and operating a Chapter of Cycling Without Age does cost money – and you can help.
Cycling Without Age Australia is a registered charity and our volunteers work tirelessly to enable this to be a free service for all our passengers. We do not want cost to be a prohibitive factor in experiencing the joy and inclusivity of our trishaw rides.
However, for our service to remain sustainable, we need financial support.
If you want to support us in other ways then contact Cycling Without Age Australia.
Become an Affiliate
If you have a desire to set up a new Chapter in your area, we encourage you to become a Cycling Without Age Affiliate, and tap into our national and global movement of like-minded people, who all help each other with the nitty gritty of getting started.
An Affiliate can be a nursing home, organisation, community group or an individual.
